Namaste NA Yurt is conveniently located near Highways 123 and 74 in Newton County. This means most of the popular trails in Newton County are less than 40 minutes away! Check out hiking trails here!
Buffalo National River
Namaste NA Yurt is less than 10 minutes, by car, from the Carver and Hasty Cutoffs of the Buffalo National River! Bring your kayaks or canoes or work with any of the authorized outfitters to enjoy this National Treasure.
The National Park and Newton County is home to a resident population of elk, brought in from Colorado and Nebraska in the 1980s. There is currently an estimated 450 elk in the county, mainly along the river.
There is also hiking, horseback riding, night sky and wildlife viewing, visiting historic districts, and bird-watching.
Fishing is popular on the Buffalo and anglers vie for bass, perch, and catfish.
There is plenty to do at the Buffalo River National Park!
